ZAMBIA
We do not have any Zambia tours scheduled for 2023 or 2024, but the 2022 itinerary is available below for your perusal. Contact us if you are interested in scheduling a private tour to Zambia.
The Landlocked country of Zambia is surprisingly underestimated as a birding destination. With the largest tracts of Miombo woodland of any country in south-central Africa, it hosts a staggering array of birds restricted to this very specific type of woodland. The far northwestern corner offers easy access to some of the Congo/Angolan specialties which are far less accessible in Angola and the DRC. The Shoebill is a huge attraction (both lieterally and figuratively), but not Zambia's only appeal. With over 750 species and 2 endemics, some spectacular wetlands such as Lochinvar and the Bangweulu Swamps, diverse national parks such as Kafue and South Luangwa, this is truly a country not to be missed.
